When shopping for a wedding gown, it’s always important to consider the back view. From the ceremony to your first dance and beyond, your guests will be looking at your dress from all angles. This dramatic Oscar de la Renta gown features a ruffle cascade in the back that would look amazing as you walk down the aisle.
We’re seeing a lot of intricate beading on the runways this season – and particularly liked the head-to-toe beadwork on this Oleg Cassini gown. What a sparkly showstopper!

One more fave detail from Isabelle Armstrong – this ostrich skirt! Fun, but also very chic in a short sheath. Great for a city hall wedding or a no-nonsense NYC bride.
So far, we actually haven’t seen a ton of color on the runways this season – a blush gown here, some gold there. But we were completely wowed by the blue-purple color on thisMonique Lhuillier gown. Brides often worry that a color other than white or ivory will make them somehow look less “bridal,” but a gown like this has that special bridal feel – with a “something blue” twist.
Jenny Packham had an amazing show with full of moody music and lots of crystals. Check out this sparkly keyhole back!
Hellooo amazing blinged-out back from Nicole Miller. How cool is this?! And the rest of the dress is very flowy and breezy (perfect for a beach wedding), which makes it great for a glam girl who’s maybe getting married in a more exotic locale.
